At least 16 people have been killed after a bus lost control in the central Mexican state of Hidalgo.
According to reports, the bus swerved, hit a safety barrier and flipped over after a tyre blew out.
The attorney general's Twitter account said seven women, seven men, as well as a girl and a boy died. Twenty-three people were injured.
The state's health ministry said that of the 23 people taken to hospital, six remain in a serious condition.
The group were reportedly returning to Mexico City after a weekend trip to the thermal baths in the nearby town of Santa Maria Amajac.
Emergency services worked at the scene of the accident throughout the night to remove the bus wreckage and debris strewn all over the road.
In another accident on Sunday night, seven people died during a mudslide due to a hail storm and strong winds on the Mexico to Queretaro road.
Lethal traffic accidents are common on Mexican roads, claiming hundreds of lives a year.
