Critical issues hindering Information and Communications Technology development will be the centre point of discussions at the 2nd Biennial Africa Digital Forum & Awards 2012.
The ADA Coordinator, Mr. Tayo Adewusi, told our correspondent on Monday that the forum would look at broadband and its attendant challenges.
He explained that industry stakeholders expected to gather at ADA 2012 would look at the main issues militating against broadband penetration in Nigeria.
This, industry experts opined, would be against the backdrop of huge investment in submarine fibre cable and very low broadband? penetration as a result of poor last mile technology.
Adewusi said apart from the fact that poor quality of service in the telecoms sector would certainly be discussed, the forum would also look at what could be done to bring back to life the CDMA operators in the country.
Experts recalled that this would be timely as revival activities seem to have taken off in the CDMA market with the injection of fresh investment into Starcomms by CAPCOM.
