Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, not because of the good food, but because it?s a wonderful time to reflect the blessings we have received throughout the year.

Have you told someone what you are thankful for lately? ?Sharing gratitude is?contagious. I love hearing what blessings others have received. It often reminds me what else I should be thankful for. ?So,?I asked my fellow EcoEtsy members to share what they are most thankful for?

Karen from ecokaren is thankful for?

?A warm house, loving family, and endless support from friends.?Wait. That sounded to corny. ??But it?s sooooo true. After going through a week of no power after hurricane Sandy, and seeing the devastation all around me (and my area was not NEARLY as bad as some areas in NYC area), it really made me feel so lucky to have the basics. You don?t realize what you have, until it?s taken away from you. And I pray for those people who lost their houses (and lives, in some cases) and everything they owned.?

Karen is doing some amazing things for Sandy victims, please check out her blog.

Cory from Aquarian Bath?shared?

?I?m thankful that my husband and I are both able to work from home and homeschool our girls. ?I?m also thankful that both sets of grandparents are in good health. ?As far as my Etsy shop goes, I?m also thankful to have reached a new milestone. ?I just hit the 3000 sales mark a couple weeks ago.? ?Congratulations!

?Myra from Herbanluxe shared a touching blessing of motherhood and life?

?I?m thankful that my mom never gave up on me and has always cheered me on and made me feel that I can accomplish anything I set my heart on; for every new morning that I wake with the ability to breath, think, create, receive and give love; That my three girls and I are still able to enjoy precious moments together; that my brothers and sisters are still here with me and I am able to tell them I love them and how special they are to me. I am also thankful for all the life experiences I?ve had ? the good and the bad because they?ve formed me into who I am today and for friends that inspire and are inspired.?

?Emmanuelle from Curly Monkey Organics shared a blessing of hope?

?I am thankful my family is healthy and united. We have been through a very tough year and we never lost hope. I am thankful we were able to put some pride aside and ask for some help, because we received it and were able to bounce back. It has been a very intense year emotionally and I am thankful my heart is now free from anger and resentment.?

I knew someone in this eco-minded group would be thankful for the trees! ?ReGrowRoots says?

?I am grateful for the trees and all the plants on our beautiful planet Earth that give us clean air to breathe, rain, and all of the wonderful healing benefits? ?And I am so thankful to all of the local farmers who provide nourishing, healthy food all winter long even in the chilly Missouri climate!?

Personally, I have many blessings to share, but the most appropriate would be that I am thankful for my Etsy Teams. ?EcoEtsy was the first group I ever joined after opening up my handmade shop in July 2010. ?I had some?skepticism?on the benefit of such teams. I was pleased to find EcoEtsy is a hardworking, eco-friendly group of handmade shops. Team members are resourceful, hip and informative. ?I have learned how to improve my Etsy shop, but most importantly I have been inspired to live a more sustainable lifestyle because of this wonderful team.

All those that shared their blessings have been featured in the collection below. ?In closing, I would like to share with you a Native American proverb provided by Soul Role.

?Give thanks for unknown blessings

already on the their way.?
